“The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.” — Psalm 23
Welcome

A Catholic community worth calling home.

St. Leo the Great is a Catholic parish with eight churches across Racine.

One Parish. Your Church. Your People.

Maybe you just moved to Racine. Or have been away from the Church for a while. Or someone you trust told you about us. We worship across eight historic churches, serve in both English and Spanish, and welcome families and individuals from every part of the city.
Each of our churches has its own character, history, and community. All of them belong to something larger.
If you are looking for a place to worship or a community to join, this is the place for you.

Stories from our pews.

The Racine Catholic community continues to be vibrant as eight parishes have come together as St. Leo the Great parish. The spirit of collaboration as a faith community is exciting and we’re happy to be part of it.

“If someone asked me what makes St. Leo the Great Parish so special, I don’t think I’d start by talking about the church or the programs. I’d tell them about the people. One of the greatest gifts Fr. Juan gave us was the belief that we could become one family. Through his faith, love, and leadership, he brought us together as one parish with Christ at the center. Now, under the guidance of Fr. Jose Mario and our wonderful priests, that family continues to grow stronger every day.

The joy of meeting so many other Racine Catholics and knowing we are bringing more energy, joy, and love for Christ is a blessing to our Catholic community of Racine.

This weekend, we said goodbye to Fr. Juan. Words cannot express how eternally grateful we are to him for his leadership and his incredible work in bringing our community together and making St. Leo the Great the vibrant parish we are today.
Please keep Fr. Juan in your prayers as he begins his role as Vicar General, as well as Fr. José Mario as he begins as pastor of St. Leo the Great.
